Message from the CEO

In recent years, schools within the education system have become increasingly isolated and this is not beneficial to individual teachers, leaders or pupils. In contrast, we believe in the power of connection and collaboration. We know that individual teachers and leaders who are connected through shared values and are highly ambitious for their pupils are more likely to achieve their goals when working together with like-minded colleagues therefore Pele Trust places a premium on creating and sustaining networks for staff and leaders that help drive improvements.

School Improvement Strategy

We believe that highly effective leadership is at the heart of improving schools. Therefore we emphasise the benefits of honing leadership skills by working in collaborative networks with leaders from other Trust schools. In addition, we believe that external scrutiny and peer review support rapid improvement through opening ourselves to critique and welcoming feedback. Since the formation of Pele Trust, we have observed how this openness, transparency and focus on quality assurance benefits both the school and individuals on the review team and has a multiplying effect across the Trust.

Our commitment to CPD

Our CPD programme offers comprehensive development for all staff, tailored to individual roles and needs. Aspiring leaders can pursue National Professional Qualifications, including NPQH and NPQSL. Additionally, our Peer Review programme, middle leader placements, and bespoke leadership development course with Newcastle University provide unique opportunities for teachers to enhance and share expertise. Colleague also complete an action research project aligned with appraisal goals, ensuring continuous professional growth and innovation across all schools within the Trust.
